Nemo Ocean Warrior

Subtitle

Nicky here, as I've mentioned I'm visiting schools giving talks about litter and Ocean conservation to different year groups. My aim is to raise awareness on how our throw away approach to life is affecting the world and how we can make changes.

I'm working with Matthew Broadhead, Waste and Development Officer from Hull City Council to show how we can all do our bit to help. Matthew is explaining about litter and I'm talking about the ocean.

As the song said " The children are our future". If we can educate a few hopefully we'll reach the many.

I'm hoping to increase the amount of talks that we do and to visit more schools around the area to raise awareness. We're going to work with primary and secondary schools getting the children more involved with their environment.

As we progress as a site and a team I will keep you informed and hopefully start to look at arranging some events to raise money. Hopefully we'll be able to set up some beach cleans as well.

This is our first presentation at The Marvell College in Hull on the 8TH March 2018.
The Talk was to year 7 who were very interested in how they can help to improve attitudes towards the enviroment and the Oceans.
This was the 2nd presentation at the Kingswood Academy Hull on the 13th March. This presentation was to year 8's who were very engaged and have since been talking about it in their lessons.

On the 20th March we did our second presentation at Marvell College for year 8. They were very interested in the different options that are now becoming available in shops and online to buy as an alternative to plastic.
